ACCEL Financial Aid

 

Beginning with the Fall '09 semester and through the 2009-2010 academic year, the cost per credit hour will be $417.  Students who are seeking financial aid should complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). The online application provided at the FAFSA Web site is the first step toward obtaining student aid for federal grants, institutional support, state grants and scholarships. File now at Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) U.S. Dept. of Education website (St. Ambrose's Title IV School Code for completing the FAFSA is 001889). Drop Fees

A $20 drop fee will automatically be charged when a class is dropped between 8 and 14 days prior to the start of the class.  A $50 drop fee will be charged if a course is dropped between 0 and 7 days or prior to the 80% refund date.

ALL drops must be dated and submitted in one of the following manners:  fax (563) 441-9470, e-mail accel@sau.edu, web site drop form www.sau.edu/accel, Beeline, or regular drop slip.  No drops are permitted after the 4th week of a 5-week class or the 6th week of an 8-week class.

 Refund Policy

According to the Federal guidelines, ACCEL’s refund schedule is based on the percentage of time that has passed between the beginning and ending dates of the course and the drop date.

100% Refund – 12.50% of class completed (approximately 3 days after start date for a 5-week class and 6 days after start date for an 8-week class)

  80% Refund – 25% of class completed

  70% Refund – 31.25% of class completed

  60% Refund – 43.75% of class completed

  50% Refund – 56.25% of class completed

  40% Refund – 62.50% of class completed

    0% Refund – 62.60% of class completed
