Based on the Kouzes and Posner Five Practices of Exemplary Leadership Model, this series will provide the tools to transform your leadership potential into key contributors of your organization’s strategic goals. By leading an experiential project within their respective organization, the participants will gain the practical skills necessary to increase your bottom line and increase their level of confidence as a leader.
Sessions are monthly beginning September 2009 through June 2010.

Learn how to be persuasive, gain commitment and get results from the people you work with. Leadership Through People Skills (LTPS) will teach you the practical skills needed to manage. LTPS is an intensive, five-day learning experience that transforms managers into leaders by creating the skills necessary to meet today’s business challenges and turn vision into reality.
LTPS succeeds by using a dynamic learning environment. Prior to attending the program, you will complete some pre-work, including background reading, writing assignments and information gathering. By starting the learning process in pre-work, you can devote more time to action learning and practice in the seminar.
The fee for LTPS includes all seminar materials, continental breakfast, lunch and refreshments at breaks. Allow 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. daily. Please note there is a $50 drop fee if the course is dropped less than 14 days prior to the start date, or a non-refundable $100 fee for no-shows.
LTPS (MBA 690/MOL 690) is a core requirement for candidates seeking the St. Ambrose University Master of Business Administration or Master of Organizational Leadership degree. Participants who are not currently enrolled and may consider seeking academic credit, must notify our Professional Development office first.
Group discounts are available. LTPS can also be delivered as an in-house, company-specific training program.

Any registrations received after 2/9/10, will pay the full price of $1295. Please note a non-refundable cancellation fee of $175 will apply if you cancel anytime between 2/10/10 and 2/23/10.
LTPS in a 5-Day format (MBA 690/MOL 690) is a core requirement for candidates seeking the St. Ambrose University Master of Business Administration or Master of Organizational Leadership degree. LTPS in a 3-Day format does not qualify for Masters level college credit.
The two programs may not be substituted for one another.
LTPS can also be delivered as an in-house, company-specific training program.

Participants learn how to improve working relationships, increase personal effectiveness, and develop a healthier work environment by practicing skills that will help them to be more collaborative with patients, doctors, and managers. This one day program is designed by health care professionals for healthcare professionals who work in the areas of nursing, physical therapy, occupational therapy, social work, caregivers, and all professional personnel who participate with clients in the health care setting. All concepts, discussions, examples, demonstrations, and exercises are grounded in the real world and skills can be applied right away.
INTENDED AUDIENCE
Nurses, PT, OT, Social Work and other professional personnel who participate with clients and caregivers in the health care setting.
OBJECTIVES

Leadership Encounter is a one‐day
workshop based on the Ken Blanchard book, Lead Like Jesus.
Packed with action‐oriented learning and reflection, this
workshop closely examines Jesus as a leader and a model while
equipping participants to lead as He led.
Whether you seek a relevant and effective model for day‐to‐day
leadership or want to learn more about leadership skills, you
will be challenged like never before to look at Jesus in a
new and life changing way. Throughout this event, you will
not only discover your own personal barriers to effective
leadership, but you will also learn about the power of the heart,
head, hands, and habits of Servant Leadership as
modeled by Jesus.
