Three Queen Bees

By Dan Tomlin, Moline Dispatch - Rock Island Argus

At the Midland Warrior Half Marathon, three Queen Bees punched their ticket to the NAIA Track and Field National Championships in Fresno, Calif. After running in near freezing temperatures in Nebraska Saturday, California in May seems a long way off, but for former Prophetstown standout Jessica Olsen, it's as close as can be.

Olsen, who finished fourth overall, ran the 13.1 mile course in 1:33:01, just one second slower than the automatic qualifying time of 1:33:00, but good enough to provisionally qualify. Senior Stacey Schueller (5th) ran 1:33:23, and Mary Kate Dunne (6th) finished in 1:35:10, both times were good enough to meet the provisional standard as well.

Freshman Doug Brusich ran in the men's race, and finished in 1:19:59, missing the qualifying mark by more than two minutes.
