Dance

What is the St. Ambrose University Dance Team?

The St. Ambrose Dance Team offers the opportunity for women that have danced throughout their life to continue to dance while pursuing a higher education. SAU Dance is comprised of two squads and a tap core. All dancers are constantly challenged to meet ever growing expectations individually as well as for the team. Most all performances are based around dance team choreography. However, dancers are able to perform in Jazz, Tap, Ballet, Funk/Hip-Hop, Pom, Kick, Lyrical, Ballroom and various other genres of dance. SAU Dance is not just about dancing. Community services, in various forms, are performed by the team throughout the year. Dancers not only receive mentorship from their coaches, but also provide mentorship to youth in the community. The combination of St Ambrose University educational programs and the SAU Dance Team provides young women with a positive environment to grow spiritually, mentally and physically, body, mind & soul.

Note from Coach Lance:

I am looking to recruit skilled female student-athletes who want to be a part of a quest both academically and artistically. I am able to award athletic scholarships for dance. Financial Aid is also available to those who qualify. I believe that St. Ambrose offers a great environment for you to succeed in your academic and artistic/athletic careers.
