Judy Schreiber joined the faculty of St. Ambrose
University in January of 2002.
She has a Ph.D. in Marketing from University of Iowa and holds a M.S.
in Statistics from Florida State University.
Judy has published articles in Organizational
Behavior and Human Decision Processes, Marketing Letters, and Asia
Pacific Journal of Marketing and Logistics
on framing effects and inclusion/exclusion effects on consumer attitude
formation and decision making. Her dissertation
wason the “Temporal Framing” of
progress in extended consumption experiences, which considers the effects
of giving progress reports to consumers in terms of “what has been
completed” or “what is remaining to finish”.
Her future research interests include the consideration of other
managerial interventions in extended consumer experiences.
Prior to her
academic career, she spent 13 years in the insurance industry.
She held various positions, such as systems analyst, actuary, sales
associate, and marketing manager, for Modern Woodmen of America, Horace
Mann Companies, and Royal Neighbors of America.
Judy is an
Associate in the Society of Actuaries and received her bachelor’s degree
from Augustana College where she majored in Mathematics and Computer
Science.
At St.
Ambrose University, Judy teaches Research Methods II and III in the DBA
program and undergraduate courses in Consumer Behavior and Advertising
& Promotions Management.
