DBA Program Structure

The DBA Program requires 48 credits in the following areas:

Dissertation (after completion of comprehensive exams) 12

The DBA is in Management and specifically encompasses the organization sciences which include: Organizational Behavior, Human Resource Management, Strategic Management and Organizational Theory. 


Students take 12 courses in the following areas:

3 Research Methods Courses Provide students the tools to design research studies and analyze data. 
4 Readings Seminars Cover the major topics in the fields of organizational behavior, human resources, strategic management, and organization theory.
1 Case Research Course Focus on helping students analyze organizational cases and developing abilities to research and write case studies.
4 Special Topics Courses Allow for in-depth study of a particular area in the field of organizational behavior, human resources, strategic management, and organizational theory. 

Upon completion of their course work, students take both written and oral comprehensive exams.

Upon completion of comprehensive exams, students begin their dissertations.
