Dr. Judy Schreiber

Judy Schreiber joined the faculty of St. Ambrose University in January of 2002. She has a Ph.D. in Marketing from University of Iowa and holds a M.S. in Statistics from Florida State University.

Judy has published articles in Organizational Behavior and Human Decision Processes, Marketing Letters, and Asia Pacific Journal of Marketing and Logistics on framing effects and inclusion/exclusion effects on consumer attitude formation and decision making. Her dissertation was on the “Temporal Framing” of progress in extended consumption experiences, which considers the effects of giving progress reports to consumers in terms of “what has been completed” or “what is remaining to finish”. Her future research interests include the consideration of other managerial interventions in extended consumer experiences.

Prior to her academic career, she spent 13 years in the insurance industry. She held various positions, such as systems analyst, actuary, sales associate, and marketing manager, for Modern Woodmen of America, Horace Mann Companies and Royal Neighbors of America.

Judy is an Associate in the Society of Actuaries and received her bachelor’s degree from Augustana College where she majored in Mathematics and Computer Science.

At St. Ambrose University, Judy teaches Research Methods II and III in the DBA program and undergraduate courses in Consumer Behavior, Advertising & Promotions Management and Marketing Research.
