HAT QUARTET

January 29 at 7:30 p.m.
Allaert Auditorium, Galvin Center
Forging a new acoustic sound that defies categorization
while striking universal emotional chords, Tin Hat makes freewheeling chamber music for the 21st century.
Hailed by the New York Press for the way it “mines a rare
middle ground with a subtly insurgent slant” by
“interweaving Old World Europe with postmodern America,
south-of-the-border sensuality with concert-hall propriety,
and odd-metered syncopation with deeply soulful grooves,”
Tin Hat stands poised on the cusp of original
American ethnic music.

for adults, $10 for
faculty, staff, alumni and senior citizens,
$8 for students, $7 for groups, SAU students with current
valid student ID are free.
