Galvin celebrates the Darwin Project, a year-long commemoration of the 150th anniversary of the publishing of Charles Darwin's On the Origin of the Species, with our own Theatre Department production of Inherit the Wind. This fictionalized retelling of the famous 1925 Scopes Monkey Trial, in which science teacher John Scopes was tried and convicted for teaching Darwin's theory of evolution, is often considered one of the great plays of the 20th century.
