About the Faculty

Regina Stephens, Assistant Professor, Sociology, joined the faculty at St. Ambrose in 1999. As the Director of the Gerontology Certificate program, Dr. Stephens spent a considerable amount of time working with organizations in the community on aging related issues to develop and establish the gerontology program. 

Her current research interest focuses on the experiences among people living with HIV/AIDS with regards to health care and social support. She received her PhD in Sociology from Oklahoma State University.
