CAREER COUNSELOR (PART-TIME 20 HOURS PER
WEEK)
The Career Center at St. Ambrose University is seeking a
qualified individual for the position of
Part-Time Career Counselor. This person will function as a member of
a team that provides comprehensive career and employment services
for undergraduate and graduate students as well as alumni.
Specific duties will include on-going individual and/or group
career counseling sessions, administration and interpretation of
career-testing instruments, and working closely with mentors/staff
to provide on-going consultation and assistance to undecided
students. The successful candidate will pursue and maintain
relationships with employers as possible job shadow providers and
assist with resume development, education credentials, mock
interviewing and job search techniques.
Master of Arts in related field is preferred, bachelor’s degree
required, along with excellent interpersonal communication skills,
presentation experience, and working knowledge of MS Word, Access,
and FrontPage. Working knowledge of MS Excel, Publisher, and the
university’s Datatel system and experience working with
college-level students is desirable.

The Information Technology
Department at St. Ambrose University has an immediate opening for an
energetic individual. The individual is responsible for deploying,
monitoring, and maintaining switches, routers, firewalls, as well as
servers and network services (e.g. DNS, DHCP, SMTP, Radius, Web,
Print, Terminal Server, Backup, Antivirus). The individual will also
provide Tier III technical support for the desktop.
Qualified candidates must have experience with LAN/ WAN
architecture and troubleshooting, management of Microsoft Server
platforms in an enterprise environment, Linux, and associated server
hardware. Qualified candidates must have an excellent interpersonal
style as well as superior presentation, written and oral
communication skills and maintain accurate records. Must demonstrate
reliability, ethics, positive attitude, strong technical proficiency
and interact well in a team environment while managing multiple
competing priorities and diverse tasks. Being available to work
evening and weekend hours as deemed necessary, possessing strong
customer service, analytical and project management skills as well
as the ability to learn new technologies quickly is a necessity.
Five or more years of experience in network administration as
well as certifications are preferred. The position requires a
Bachelor’s degree and/or six years of relevant experience with

Speech-Language Pathology -

Statistics or Econometrics or a related field. The College of
Business is actively pursuing AACSB accreditation and is seeking
individuals with a dual interest in teaching and playing a role in
developing a University Center for Statistical Research. The
