The St. Ambrose University LSACEL and M.Ed. in Teaching graduate programs in education seek an experienced and energetic Administrative Assistant to provide administrative support to faculty, adjunct faculty, and students. Responsibilities include general office management, serving as key contact for students, faculty and local schools involved with the graduate education programs, obtaining graduate licensure and assisting in recruitment of students which may require some evening hours. Candidate should have strong organizational, technological, verbal and written communication skills. Minimum of Associate’s degree or 2 years experience in area of responsibility. CAREER COUNSELOR (PART-TIME 20 HOURS PER WEEK)
The Career Center at St. Ambrose University is seeking a qualified individual for the position of
Part-Time Career Counselor. This person will function as a member of a team that provides comprehensive career and employment services for undergraduate and graduate students as well as alumni.

Specific duties will include on-going individual and/or group career counseling sessions, administration and interpretation of career-testing instruments, and working closely with mentors/staff to provide on-going consultation and assistance to undecided students. The successful candidate will pursue and maintain relationships with employers as possible job shadow providers and assist with resume development, education credentials, mock interviewing and job search techniques.

Master of Arts in related field is preferred, bachelor’s degree required, along with excellent interpersonal communication skills, presentation experience, and working knowledge of MS Word, Access, and FrontPage. Working knowledge of MS Excel, Publisher, and the university’s Datatel system and experience working with college-level students is desirable.

COORDINATOR OF INTERCULTURAL LIFE & LEADERSHIP PROGRAMS
The student activities office at St. Ambrose University is seeking a coordinator of intercultural life & leadership programs. Primary duties include providing the vision, oversight and initiative toward implementing comprehensive intercultural life and leadership programs. Qualified applicants will possess a demonstrated enthusiasm, understanding and willingness to work with diverse student, faculty and staff populations.
Preferred applicants will have an earned Masters degree (bachelors plus experience required) in college student personnel, counseling or a related field of study. Preferred applicants will also possess demonstrated awareness of diverse student needs, leadership development techniques and effective cultural competency initiatives.

Network System Administrator
The Information Technology Department at St. Ambrose University has an immediate opening for an energetic individual. The individual is responsible for deploying, monitoring, and maintaining switches, routers, firewalls, as well as servers and network services (e.g. DNS, DHCP, SMTP, Radius, Web, Print, Terminal Server, Backup, Antivirus). The individual will also provide Tier III technical support for the desktop.
Qualified candidates must have experience with LAN/ WAN architecture and troubleshooting, management of Microsoft Server platforms in an enterprise environment, Linux, and associated server hardware. Qualified candidates must have an excellent interpersonal style as well as superior presentation, written and oral communication skills and maintain accurate records. Must demonstrate reliability, ethics, positive attitude, strong technical proficiency and interact well in a team environment while managing multiple competing priorities and diverse tasks. Being available to work evening and weekend hours as deemed necessary, possessing strong customer service, analytical and project management skills as well as the ability to learn new technologies quickly is a necessity.
Five or more years of experience in network administration as well as certifications are preferred. The position requires a Bachelor’s degree and/or six years of relevant experience with preference given for a degree in the Computer Science field. Primary teaching responsibilities include Anatomy and Physiology and non-Biology majors. Speech-Language Pathology - Asst/Assoc. Prof.
St. Ambrose University invites applications for a 12-month tenure-track position with choice of starting dates of July 1, 2008 or January 1, 2009. Qualifications include: Ph.D. in
Speech-Language Pathology, ABD candidates will be considered, and eligibility for ASHA CCC-SLP and state licensure is preferred. STATISTICS FACULTY
St. Ambrose University College of Business invites applications for a full-time tenure-track assistant professor position in Decision Sciences to start in August, 2008 or January, 2009. Candidates should have an appropriate degree in Statistics or Econometrics or a related field. The College of Business is actively pursuing AACSB accreditation and is seeking individuals with a dual interest in teaching and playing a role in developing a University Center for Statistical Research. The successful applicant will be expected to conduct scholarly activity, teach courses to both undergrad and graduate students, and be willing to travel to the off-campus sites. The candidate will participate in advising undergraduates and will join a department team dedicated to curriculum development. A doctorate is preferred, but an ABD may be considered.
