The Irish played a large part in the legacy of St. Ambrose. Just look around campus at the names of the buildings--McMullen, from County Down; Davis, from County Carlow.

St. Ambrose's Irish Studies program enables students to acquire a richer understanding and appreciation for the Irish and Irish-American experience. The program offers extensive coursework in Irish, Irish-American and British topics, an excellent Irish Studies collection, several study abroad opportunities in Ireland and the United Kingdom and many cultural events at St. Ambrose and throughout the Quad Cities.

For more information on Irish Studies program, contact Dr. Ryan Dye, director of Irish Studies and assistant professor of history, at 563/333-6389.
