This course studies the use of Adobe Flash CS4. Students will learn to draw and animate using Flash. ActionScript 3.0 will be used to develop interactive games.

Once you have completed Lesson 1 in the ActionScript "Classroom in a Book" (CIB for short), modify your final Flash document by adding a new dynamic text field. This field should show the number of jumping jacks remaining. Here is an example of how the final animation might look. 10 First week of November
2 There are two modifications I want you to make to your final Flash document from CIB Lesson 3:
  1. Make the star move back and forth across the top of the stage.
  2. Make it move a bit faster.

3 Prepare a short one-page description of your preliminary project. This project should help prepare you for your final project. It should either be a preliminary version of your final project or it should focus on features of Flash that you will need to use for your preliminary project. 10 October 6

Publish the current version of your game as HTML and submit it through Blackboard. I will post the games on the class web site for the rest of the class to see. If you have any comments you would like to include provide them in Blackboard and I will post them with your game.

Play Everyone Else's Game

For this assignment your are to play everyone else's game and provide feedback to the author. You can provide your feedback via email. On December 1 please turn in a printed copy of the emails you sent.
