Electives (9 credit hours)

These courses are at the discretion of the student, with the approval of the advisor. Three individual career needs courses are mandatory in the MBA Program and may be selected from the list found in this catalog.

Many students opt for the MBA consisting of 16 courses (46 semester credit hours). There are also seven concentrations (Finance, Human Resource Management, Management Information Systems, Marketing, International Management, Not-for-Profit Management and Health Care Administration) offered at the main campus. Each concentration requires from four to five courses. Often, students electing a concentration fulfill their three electives by taking three of the required concentration courses. The additional one or two required course(s) for the specific concentration are taken beyond the 46 semester credit hours for the degree. Concentration courses are available on the main campus in Davenport, Iowa and in the satellites if sufficient demand warrants. Many of these courses are also available as on-line classes.
