Moline's Price joins Fighting Bees
Moline High School's Josh Price has chosen to continue his
basketball career at St. Ambrose and will join the Fighting Bees for the 2008-09
season.
Price, a 6-3 guard from Moline High School, averaged six
points, two rebounds, three assists and one steal in his senior campaign for the
Maroons. The son of Tim and Kim Price of Moline, Josh Price served as his team's
captain and won the team's Most Improved Player Award.
Price led the Western Big Six in three point shots made and
was an Honorable Mention All-Conference selection to the Western Big 6 & Metro
All-Stars. At his team's banquet, Price was named the 2008 recipient of the Dave
Youngvorst Leadership Award. He was also selected to play in the Iowa-Illinois
All-Star game in March.
"Josh comes from a solid basketball program and should make a smooth transition
into our program," St. Ambrose Head Coach Ray Shovlain said. "Josh made strong
contributions to his high school team and we expect him to do the same for us
over his 4 years here."
