Ebener signs with St. Ambrose

Davenport, IA - Coach Ray Shovlain is excited to announce the signing of his tenth recruit for the 2008-2009 basketball season. Jordan Ebener, a 6'4 guard forward St. Bede Academy has selected St. Ambrose University to continue his basketball career.

A four-year letter-winner at St. Bede Academy, Ebener put up strong numbers his senior year by leading Bureau County in scoring at 16.5 points per game. He also ranked in the top five in Bureau County in rebounding at 4.1 per contest.

For his efforts, Ebener was selected to the All-Area team by the News Tribune. He was also selected to the All-Tournament team at the Newman Catholic Tourney.

Ebener was also an accomplished baseball player and cross country runner. Ebener lettered four times in both sports and was selected to the 2007 All-Conference team in cross country for finishing ninth at the conference meet.

Ebener was a four year Honor-Roll student and performed over 100 hours of community service in his four years at St. Bede Academy.

"Jordan should be an outstanding addition to St. Ambrose University and the basketball program,” St. Ambrose Head Coach Ray Shovlain said.  “We are expecting him to contribute and be a quality member of our program."
