St. Teresa's Brinkoetter Signs with Bees

Davenport, IA - Nathan Brinkoetter will be donning the navy blue and white of St. Ambrose for the 2008-2009 basketball season. Brinkoetter, a senior at St. Teresa's High School in Decatur, Illinois, has chosen to continue his basketball career with the Fighting Bees.

Brinkoetter, the Co-MVP of his high school basketball team, will bring his 12.5 points and 2.0 steals per game to SAU. Named his school's male athlete Most Valuable Player for the class of 2008, Brinkoetter also garnered All-Tournament honors at the Team Soy/St. Teresa Holiday Tournament. He led the area in the point field goals made with 65.

"Nathan is a very versatile player that should fit in well in our system," St. Ambrose Head Coach Ray Shovlain said.  "We seek talented, versatile athletes and Nathan should have a very successful career here at St. Ambrose."
