Certificate
of Pastoral Studies
The Certificate of Pastoral Studies
program is a non-credit professional enrichment program
intended to enable persons involved in pastoral ministry to
pursue the study of theology and the development of
ministerial skills even if they cannot or do not wish to
obtain a graduate degree.
Students in the certificate program
register for and complete the course work described for the
MPS degree, but register on an enrichment or audit basis and
do not complete the Integration Project. In consultation
with an advisor, the student may decide to include some
upper level undergraduate theology courses or diocesan
workshops in his/her program.
Upon completion of the equivalent of 30
semester credits, the non-degree seeking student receives a
professional certificate through the SAU Professional
Development office.
