As part of St. Ambrose's commitment to social justice and service to others, the Master of Social Work program prepares graduate social work professionals to address social issues and needs, offering a concentration specialization in Advanced Empowerment Practice.

The MSW program at St. Ambrose University equips students with a comprehensive knowledge base, practice competencies, and ethical standards for professional practice. It is offered in both a two-year full-time format, and through a part-time Saturday format.

Students must complete 60 credit hours, including practicum experience. Students with undergraduate social work degrees from programs accredited by the Council on Social Work Education may be able to receive credit for advanced standing.
