They're not classical.
They're not New Age.
They're not rock.
They're not roll.
And they don't play instruments.
STAMVOJA is an
unusual-sounding word for a sweet-sounding vocal jazz group that has sung
its way to popularity in three short years. STAMVOJA
stands for St. Ambrose Vocal Jazz ensemble, an acappella group that was
formed in the spring semester of 1998.
In its short
existence, STAMVOJA has racked up an impressive number of performances,
including four vocal jazz festivals, a variety of area school performances
and other community and alumni events, as well as performances at the
annual President's Club dinner.
Learn about their
performance at New York City's famed
Carnegie Hall here.
