The
STAMVOJA Ensemble
Just like the music
they sing, the eleven members of STAMVOJA bring a diverse
background and musical experience to the group. Read on to
learn more about each of the members.
Andy Burman, Senior
Hometown: Davenport
A four-year member of STAMVOJA, Andy is a business
management major who sings tenor in the group. He also sings
in the Chorale, Five Deep and Chapel Choir, and acts in the
theatre department. His favorite song is "You've Lost
that Loving Feeling" and he sings solos on "This
Island Earth," "Secret of Life" and
"Sweet Dreams." His most memorable moment with the
group was singing at Carnegie Hall in NYC. He wants people
to know that organ donation is very important.
Marianna Caldwell,
Sophomore
Hometown: Decorah, Iowa
Marianna is new to STAMVOJA, but not to performing. She
lists as her activities "theatre...theatre...and,
um...theatre. I have no life outside of the theatre."
An alto in the group, you'll hear her amazing "hik-ahs"
on "Take Me Coco." Always looking for an acting
job, Marianna adds: "Like what you see? Feel free to
cast me in a show." And folks, she's serious.
Allison Costello,
Senior
Hometown: Charlotte, Iowa
Allison is a theatre major and veteran of STAMVOJA, having
performed with the group for three straight years. When not
singing soprano and alto for the group, you'll probably find
her on-stage performing in the Galvin Center or in murder
mysteries across the Quad Cities. Her favorite song is
"I'll Be Seeing You," and she sings the solo on
"Sweet Dreams." Her most memorable STAMVOJA
experience: "The bus breaking down in
Oklahoma!"
Jodi Leonard,
Senior
Hometown: Blue Grass, Iowa
The other four-year member of the group, Jodi sings soprano.
She is a music education major who enjoys theatre, camping,
ninja video games and balancing spoons on her nose. (Don't
ask.) She sings solos on "You've Lost that Loving
Feeling," "Pick Yourself Up" and "Sweet
Dreams." Her fondest memory: "Getting in a
snowball fight with Marti and a trip to Chinatown in NYC
late at night." She also wants to let people know that
she needs a job after she graduates this year.
Dan McGinn,
Junior
Hometown: Bettendorf, Iowa
Dan is a business management major in his third year with
STAMVOJA. He enjoys acting, and plays a mean golf game. His
favorite song is "Zombie," and you'll find his
front and center on "Heavenly," "Zombie"
and "You've Lost that Loving Feeling." His most
memorable STAMVOJA memory? You guessed it: "The bus
breaking down on the way to Texas."
Sean Pankuch,
Junior
Hometown: Aurora, Illinois
Sean is a bass in the group. A public relations and
marketing communication major, he moonlights as an actor and
Cubs fan. He's also a member of Better Food, another
acappella group. His favorite song is "Pick Yourself
Up" and he would love to sing "Hey Ya" by
Outkast in the group this year. His most memorable STAMVOJA
memory: "Being stranded in Oklahoma!"
Andrew Vorheis,
Freshman
Hometown: Clinton, Iowa
Andrew is a law major at St. Ambrose, and he sings tenor in
the group. A jack of all traits, he participates in golf,
soccer, jazz choir, show choir, band, jazz band and pep
bands. When not doing that, he enjoys just hanging out with
his friends. He would like the group to work on an
arrangement of "Amazing Grace" this year. He has
sung in London, Ontario, Montreal and Quebec.
Kim Wolff,
Sophomore
Hometown: McHenry, Illinois
A first-year member of STAMVOJA, Kim sings soprano and alto
in the group and enjoys dancing in her free time. Her
favorite song is "I'll Be Seeing You," and if she
could choose any song for STAMVOJA to sing, "I'm a big
Faith Hill fan, so pretty much any song by her."
