Continuing the university's tradition of
responding to the needs of the Quad City community and
beyond, the St. Ambrose Nursing Department is pleased to
offer an undergraduate program of study for a bachelor of
science in nursing (BSN).
The
BSN program is accredited by the State of Iowa Board of
Nursing and nationally, by the Commission on Collegiate
Nursing Education (CCNE). Read
our mission, goals and expected outcomes.
The program is unique in that students
complete more theory prior to their patient care experiences
which extends time to acquire required nursing skills.
Unlicensed first year and transfer students are identified
as basic students as opposed to registered nurse students
who are licensed without a BSN.
Our faculty encourage prospective students
to seek academic guidance early in their planning phase and
when possible, submit their application for admission early
in the semester prior to their planned start date.
To schedule an information appointment,
call the Nursing Department at 563/333-6076 or email nursing@sau.edu.
