E-Groups for MOT Students

E-groups is a great way for students doing their Level II Fieldwork to keep in touch and are able to ask each other questions for free!  Shelli Engelbrecht, Fieldwork Coordinator, will be setting up an e-group for each class while they are doing their Level II Fieldwork. She will inform you when your class e-group is set up and you will get an E-mail asking if you would like to join this group.   E-Groups is made through Yahoo.  You do not have to have a yahoo account to join this group.  To find out more information on e-groups or for those students who are already members, click here to go to yahoo e-groups.

How to use E-group

1.  Creating a Yahoo ID and password—In order to look at the postings, attachments, or photos, you have to create a Yahoo id and password.  You might have already done this when you joined the e-group.  If you have joined the group but not created a profile for Yahoo, go to Yahoo.com, click on groups, click on sign in, clock on sign up now and create your profile.  You do not have to do this to receive the messages to your individual email that you gave to us, but it is required to look at the postings, attachments, photos, and to see the calendar with important dates.

2.  To send a posting---Write the message as you would a regular email.  Send it to SauOT(Year you graduate)@yahoogroups.com.  This automatically posts the message at the e-groups and sends the message to each member of the group’s personal email.

3.  To look at the postings on Yahoo!---In order to look at the postings go to Yahoo.com, click on groups, click on sign in, sign in, click on group sauot(Year you graduate).  To view past messages click on the number under the month.

4.  Looking at attachments and photos---You have the option of posting messages, adding photos, or adding events on the calendar.  To do this you must sign in and have joined the sauOT(Year you graduate) group.  On the left hand side of the screen are different options:
