Election Process:
Elections are held in
the spring and fall of each year. The election process starts with a
petition that requires thirty signatures (30) from students in either your
college of study or your class, depending on the position you run for.
If you wish to run for Student Government President or Vice President the
petition must consist of two hundred (200) signatures.
Once your petition is completed, simply turn it into the SGA office for
verification. You will also need to attend at least two SGA meetings in
order to be eligible for the elections. Once your petition is validated,
you can begin campaigning for the desired position.

Petition:
While elections are held
each year, often times there are still available positions on senate. To
fill one of these positions, you may petition. The petitioning process
requires 30 valid signatures from students either within your college of
study or within your class, depending on the position you run for. Once
you have the required signatures, you should turn the petition into the
SGA office, and then attend a SGA meeting to present your petition.
