Financial Aid
You
may use financial aid from federal
and state
sources (except work-study grants) to pay for study abroad programs.
Grants
and loans from federal and state sources of financial aid (except work-study)
may be applied to all study abroad programs in the fall and spring semesters.
Students may take all of their SAU
scholarship awards (minimum of $1000) for one semester to the following study abroad sites:
SAU students enrolled in
Central College
Abroad programs may take up to 60% of their
SAU scholarship package
(including Presidential and Ambrose
scholarships).
SAU students enrolled in the Blaise
Pascal University International Business with French program may take up to 40%
of their SAU scholarship package (including Presidential and Ambrose scholarhips).
For all other institutions, students
studying abroad for an entire semester are eligible to take up to $1000 of
their SAU scholarship awards with them.
Students
are able to take these SAU funds only once in the course of their
undergraduate careers at SAU.
You are unable to take SAU
scholarship awards with you to pay for short-term faculty-led programs.
There
are alternative loan programs available for students studying abroad during
the Winterim, May Interim, and Summer sessions.
You are unable to use tuition
remission or tuition exchange awards for any study abroad program.
