When most people think of answering questions, they think of trivia about science, current events, and sports.  But how about knowing how fast your roommate can run a mile or what type of toothpaste they use?

Well, that is exactly the knowledge one needed to have when roommates and best friends flooded the Rogalski Center to compete against other teams in a fight for prizes and bragging rights.

Residence Life sponsored the event, which was attended by 74 teams on Feb. 22 at 9:15 in the ballroom.  The Campus Programming sub-committee, chaired by Sarah Walker and advised by Brandi Schuman, began kicking around the idea in the fall, but really started planning after winter break.

Each team member was put into a room apart from their partner, and asked to answer ten questions about their roommate.  The teams then re-joined and stood back-to-back, while scorekeepers kept track of their correct answers.  Teams with the most points kept advancing through rounds.

Ashley Pritts and Meghan Brown, two roommates from Rohlman, won the final round, which was hosted by former SAU student Chad Gau.  The two girls won a $100 gift certificate to the mall.  The runners-up received a $50 gift certificate to Best Buy.

“Residents enjoyed themselves and enjoyed playing,” Walker said.  “Many were laughing and joking around when their friend or roommate got the wrong answer.”

Many additional students came out to watch, and had the opportunity to win raffles prizes of flex dollars to the Rogalski Center and passes to Penguin’s Comedy Club.

“Programming of this caliber allows residents to interact with other residents all over campus, thus helping to build and improve our community,” Walker said.  The event was one of Residence Life’s most successful programs, and included a pizza party for the floor that had the most participation.
