April 7, 2005 Both the men's and women's track teams are in a drought. With a reloaded arsenol of athletes, both teams look to contend for the top spot and restore conference supremecy. This past weekend the Fighting Bees placed 8 out of 12 teams, while the women placed seventh. The Queen Bees are led by senior team captain Jen Frels on the track, and in the throwing events by national qualifiers Katie Thomas, Brandi Weih, and Johnna Gamble. On the men's side a core group of middle distance parleed with a number of sprinters and throwers have built one of the stronger teams in the past number of years. With just two track meets left before the conference meet the teams are using the tune-up time to ready themselves for the two-day event that caps off the outdoor track season.
