The Department of Theology is the academic focal point of St. Ambrose University as a Catholic institution of higher learning. 

In conjunction with the Philosophy Department, the Department of Theology attempts to provide students and faculty an opportunity to come into contact with the rich tradition of the Catholic/Christian community as well as the contemporary developments and vision rooted in the renewal of the Second Vatican Council.
